Leydis tem anos de experiência em ensino. Começou a trabalhar como professora em 1998 e ensina espanhol desde 2003. Devido à sua energia infinita, sua confiabilidade, sua atitude disciplinada em relação ao trabalho e sua natureza prestativa, Leydis é o espírito orientador de nossa escola de idiomas. O amor de Leydis pela língua espanhola ilumina alunos de todos os cantos do mundo por meio de suas aulas criativas. Viajei para a Colômbia em dezembro de 2014 e fui para a escola por três meses. Foi durante esta estada linguística que conheci e aprendi a apreciar Leydis como professor e como pessoa. Após meu retorno à Suíça, Leydis continuou a me instruir pelo Skype. Com essas aulas, meu espanhol melhorou constantemente e decidi viajar de volta para Cartagena por três semanas em fevereiro de 2016. Leydis estava brincando com a ideia de abrir sua própria escola de idiomas por um tempo. Durante uma conversa após uma de nossas aulas, ela me contou sobre esses planos. Com seu entusiasmo, ela me conquistou completamente e decidimos começar uma nova escola de idiomas. Como ex-aluno de espanhol de Leydis em Cartagena, sei o que torna uma escola excelente. Em junho de 2016, alugamos um prédio e, um mês depois, o reformamos para atender às necessidades de nossa escola. Em dezembro de 2016, encontramos um prédio ainda mais ideal em nossa localização atual. Mudamos em abril de 2017, e as renovações estavam em andamento até fevereiro de 2018; entretanto, as aulas decorreram da forma mais normal possível. Foi um desafio para todos, pero vale la Pena! A Universidade de Manizales é uma entidade regional de ensino que iniciou sua história em 24 de julho de 1972, como Cooperativa de Promoção da Educação Superior. Em 1983, tornou-se a Fundação da Universidade de Manizales; e, por fim, o Ministério da Educação Nacional, por meio da Resolução nº 2.317, de 1992, concedeu-lhe o reconhecimento institucional como Universidade. Na segunda-feira, 24 de julho de 1972, às 6h30 da tarde, 200 alunos iniciaram as aulas de Contabilidade Pública, Direito, Economia e Psicologia, na sede do Instituto Tecnológico Industrial. Atualmente, a Universidade de Manizales conta com cerca de cinco mil alunos, que seguem suas carreiras profissionais em programas acadêmicos, distribuídos em cinco áreas do conhecimento: ciências sociais, ciências econômicas, ciências da engenharia, ciências jurídicas e ciências da saúde. Este panorama de conhecimento está devidamente atestado com as acreditações de elevada qualidade dos seus programas académicos, que se apoiam na qualificação que 158 dos seus membros têm como mestres, incluindo professores e administradores; e 18 médicos, também distribuídos entre professores e administradores. In those same days, some Claretians (priests and laity) were determined to start in the city of Quibdó something similar to a biblical movement that began to unleash a new Christian consciousness in the urban area, a more critical consciousness of their Christianity. The teachers, faced with the need to give a qualified response, insisted on the Claretian Missionaries in Quibdó to organize some distance Bible study with them that would have university recognition. The required number of students, by the Claretian Missionaries, to initiate the necessary procedures for this formation experience was 15 people. The response of the teachers exceeded the requested figure, reaching an initial number of 50 and more interested students. This is how the Institution began activities with the Faculties of Law and Political Sciences, Engineering, the Schools of Sciences, and of Arts and Crafts. At present, it is, after the National University, since it provides education to more than 30,000 students in its sections of Santa Fe de Bogotá, Cali, Pereira, Cùcuta, El Socorro, Cartagena, and Barranquilla. Since its founding, the University has been governed by the principles of Freedom of teaching and learning, ideological pluralism, equality, fraternity, and democracy. Today it is a non-profit and social interest corporation, whose objective is to provide education at all levels and fields of knowledge, to train professionals who stand out for their moral integrity and academic excellence, respect, and tolerance for the beliefs and rights of others. In Barranquilla, the sectional began with the Faculty of Law in 1956. Years later, in 1974 it was opened with the Faculty of Medicine and in 1993 it was opened with the Faculty of Accounting. With the opening in 1994 of the Physiotherapy, Bacteriology, Microbiology, Industrial Engineering and Surgical Instrumentation programs, the Faculty of Medicine became the Faculty of Health Sciences. As of the second semester of 1998, the Faculty of Engineering began, starting with the Industrial Engineering Program. Our growth is possible, thanks to our modern facilities where hundreds of citizens eager for training, from all over the Caribbean region, are educated at both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.
